About me
Textile art as an expression of transformation and memory
I am a German artist working with textiles, embroidery, and mixed-media techniques. This results in multifaceted works that oscillate between image and object. My work explores themes of change, vulnerability, and resilience – often with a socio-critical or ecological undertone.
I fuse traditional textile techniques with experimental materials such as Lutradur, Tyvek, paper, found objects, and pigments. The surface becomes a stage for traces, scars, and signs—a poetic archive of lived experience. My works are not only visual compositions but also haptic narratives that actively shape the space.
Thematically, my work revolves around questions of identity, memory, and responsibility. I place textile fragments in the context of global challenges and personal stories – for example, in works such as "Is one amulet enough to protect the Earth?" or "Different People".
I live and work in Menden (Sauerland). My works have been shown in numerous exhibitions and are part of private collections. In addition to my artistic practice, I offer workshops in which I teach textile techniques as a means of self-reflection and creative expression.
