About me

I have been working with quilting and art for over 25 years. At first my working method was more traditional, but I soon became fascinated by new materials and the artistic expression possibilities they offer. Today, all of my work is in the mixed media area. The use of textile and non-textile materials, as well as playing with colors and threads, enables me to express thoughts, emotions and views and thus create contemporary textile art. It is important to me to make textiles as art objects accessible to a wider audience. My courses are therefore less about traditional textile techniques and more about teaching experimental, artistic approaches to them.
